Your name could be in a computer chip on a moon of Jupiter if you want it to be. That is on NASA space programs.
NASA message in the bottle sign on gives the public an.opportunity to travel by name in the not too distant solar system. On the spacecraft exterior will be a plate with a poem engraved on it. Names are submitted online as a signing of the poetry. 700+ people have signed the Europa poem.
The poem is ‘In Praise Of Mystery’ by American poet laureate Ada Limon.
The names aboard Clipper will be about 75 nanometers each on a chip the size of a dime. An electron beam stencils it all together.
The Clipper spacecraft is going to do 50 close flybys above Europe looking for signs of life support.
Launch of the Clipper is scheduled for October 2024.
